Jennifer King

Jennifer King is a devoted mother of three — Brant, Sydney, and Gracie — and a proud “Geemie” to her granddaughter, Brixtynn. Born in Hobbs, New Mexico, Jennifer spent much of her childhood in Bloomfield, a small town nestled in the Four Corners region of the state. The summer before her junior year of high school in 1989, her family relocated to Dalhart, Texas, where she completed her education and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1991.

Although she has spent most of her life in the Texas Panhandle, Jennifer proudly considers herself a New Mexico girl at heart, with what she fondly describes as lungs filled with the air of the Land of Enchantment.

Family is at the center of Jennifer’s life. In her spare time, she treasures moments with her children and granddaughter. She also enjoys refurbishing old furniture, working in her yard, decorating her home, antique shopping, and traveling. Whenever possible, she escapes to the mountains — her favorite place to be. Winter is her favorite season, and nothing makes her happier than snow-covered peaks, crisp cold air, and a cozy fire.

Before beginning her career in insurance, Jennifer was the owner and operator of Henry’s Flowers in Dalhart, Texas, from December 2005 until April 2018. Her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to serving her community were evident throughout her years as a business owner. In 2016, she began working part-time in insurance and, after selling her floral business in 2018, transitioned into the insurance field full time.

In October 2018, Jennifer joined her mentor, Jaime Johnson, at her newly acquired agency in Stratford, Texas. She officially obtained her insurance license on February 14, 2019. Today, Jennifer primarily serves as a commercial agent with a focus on the trucking industry, while also handling personal lines coverage, including home and auto insurance. She divides her time between the Amarillo office and working from home each week and remains readily available to clients across all three office locations.

When asked what she enjoys most about her work in insurance, Jennifer shares, “I enjoy every aspect of insurance, but especially the daily challenges it presents. My commercial customers rely on me to guide them through the complexities of properly and sufficiently insuring their businesses to minimize potential losses while protecting their financial future and ventures. I also truly value the friendships and business relationships I have built with my customers.”

Jennifer’s career reflects her dedication, integrity, and commitment to helping others safeguard what matters most — values that continue to guide both her professional and personal life.
